Some things are worth finding. Others are worth getting lost for.
Smukke House began with beauty. But beauty was never going to stay in the bathroom. It follows us everywhere.
Into the hotels we don't want to leave. The cities we keep thinking about. Beautiful objects we absolutely do not need. Restaurants chosen partly for the lighting. A glass of wine with nowhere else to be. The chair we'd rearrange an entire room around. The good stuff, essentially.
FOUND is the world around Smukke House. A constantly evolving edit of luxury travel, extraordinary spaces, beautiful design, interesting objects and whatever else makes life feel a little more considered or considerably more fun.
Not everything here is for sale. That's rather the point. Welcome to the part of the House where we collect what catches our eye.

London. Paris. Florence. Amsterdam. Belgium. Not 10 Things You Must Do Before Lunch. No itineraries. No star ratings. And no pretending we discovered Paris.
ELSEWHERE is our collection of places as we actually remember them: not necessarily by the landmark, but by the moments around it.
A glass of wine with a cathedral for a backdrop in Florence. Getting wonderfully distracted in Amsterdam. Staying out too late in Paris. Old squares and chocolate in Belgium. Good manners and outrageous, boom-boxing taxis in London.
The beautiful bits. The strange bits. The things we photographed because something about them made us stop. The bits we'd go back for.
BEAUTIFUL OTHERWISE
Beauty without the category.
Some things don't belong under skincare, fashion, interiors, wellness or travel. Good. Beautiful Otherwise is where they go.
An extraordinary room. Architecture that makes you stop walking. Art. A beautiful old building. Something strange. Something imperfect. Something somebody made simply because the world was better with it in it.
There doesn't need to be a reason to love something. There certainly doesn't need to be a checkout button.
FOUND & WANTED
We found it. Now we want it.
Then there are the things we don't own. Yet. The hotel we'd cross an ocean for. The chair that's completely unreasonable. The tiny European shop that doesn't ship to Canada. A ridiculous lamp. A beautiful object with no defensible purpose whatsoever.
This isn't an endless list of must-haves. And we're not particularly interested in telling you what you need. Sometimes wanting something is half the fun.
AND THEN THERE'S YOU.
We can only look in so many directions. You might find the thing we missed.
A hotel you still think about.
A restaurant worth crossing a city for.
A tiny shop nobody seems to know.
A spectacular room.
A view.
A piece of art.
A beautiful object you absolutely did not need.
Something odd.
Something wonderful.
Something that simply made you look twice.

Because eventually, this shouldn't only be about what we notice. It should be about what happens when a group of visually insatiable people starts paying attention.
Different cities. Different tastes. Different corners of the world.
One very loose requirement: It made you look twice.

Beauty doesn't always announce itself.
Sometimes it's the place you almost walked past. The table you didn't want to leave. Something made beautifully for no practical reason. A city seen differently because you happened to turn left instead of right.
FOUND is about paying attention.
To places. To objects. To ideas. To the details that make life feel richer, more interesting and a little less ordinary.
Some of them we'll find. Some of them you'll bring to us. And together, we'll keep building this beautiful little corner of the world.
